About
Me
I am a student from Germany. I was born in 1990, so calculate my age on your own. My main interests are computers, especially programming. I won't tell you more here, but if you are really really interested in my real life, you might contact me after you have thought about that idea at least twice.
Where did the nickname "The Brain" come from? I don't really remember, but some of my friends called me a brainiac as I know much more about computers than most of them do. So it happened that I began to call myself like that online.
You can contact me here, if you like to.
The homepage
This is my very own homepage. I haven't found the time to finish it according to my wishes, but I don't think it's that bad at the time.
After a short peroid of no-color, orange is back! The same applies to Calvin. The only drawback is, that the used rounded borders are mixed propertiary browser-extensions/CSS 3, which won't work everywhere. It's time for CSS 3 and SVG anyways!
Now for the technical aspects. The whole site has been created from scratch by me, using gedit, the default texteditor within Ubuntu. I decided to pick XHTML as it seems to be the clearest and most future-orientated format to me. There's also some PHP within the sites, mainly to simplify the task of rewriting globally needed things like parts of the header, the stylesheet and the footer at the bottom of every page. All pages should be valid XHTML and CSS.
No premade CMS/wiki/blog/whatsoeverweb2.0software has been used, not even a database due to the small number of pages. I dislike pages that only work with Flash, ActiveX or JavaScript, thus you won't find them here.
/bin/sh
Of course this is the bourne shell on Unix, but it is also the nickname of D. Arnold.
Praise him, adore him! He is the one that made this site possible in the first place. He also helped me alot with all these nasty traps in PHP, .htaccess, CSS and anything else you could imagine.
As this is a subdomain on his webspace, you may also like to visit his site, located here. Of course you do! Now!
