Multiplayer Melee Mod

The Multiplayer Melee Mod (M³) is a World of Padman Mod with three new "team based" game types, these are MMS, LTS and STZ. Helpers are listed here, while the projects status can me seen here. Read on.

MMS - MarshMallow Scuffle

To score, each team has to bring marshmallows from a single spawn point to their base. Players can't use their weapons while they are carrying a marshmallow, but they can drop their marshmallow, or have it stolen from them.

There are two ways to do this, either we take the time to create new maps, or we modify the game to use the BigBalloon Maps instead.

LTS - Last Team Standing

In this game, the whole team share a set amount of lives, therefore YOUR life depends on looking after the lives of your team mates, and to win, YOUR team must be the last team standing.

So far, this is the only gametype that has been coded and beta-tested, and although it hasn't been done yet, we could add an "insta" option to it.

STZ - Stop The Zombies

This is a Zombies vs Humans team capture game that begins with a single Zombie converting Humans to Zombies by biting them using Punchy only. As this is quite hard, the Zombies will be able to walk faster and hide themselves using visionless for a specified time, however, as soon as they start using punchy, they will become visible again. A Zombie's health will grow only by biting, and the time they can remain invisible will be determined by the number of captures they make.

We're thinking about forcing a GhostPirate-Model on the Zombies, or some other model that still has to be developed by vIiRuS, and also optionally limiting the number of captures.

The Team

Such a great bunch of ideas could never be realized without a great team behind it. Currently involved in the projects development are the people below, while there are even more betatesters and fans not listed here.

Status

The first Gametype is basically ready for public release. LTS has been developed and no major bugs were found.

The only problem is, the code is probably lost somewhere. It wouldn't be much of a problem to re-write it, but as the rest of the project is frozen/dead, this applies to LTS aswell.
